REPORTS
- Liz advised that this month's Sundowner will be at Peter and Dani's home on WEDNESDAY 24th June from 5:30pm to 7pm.
- Ian reported he was very pleased to see Connor out and about after about five months. Since arriving in Germany he has spent around two months settling in, before being in lockdown for about three months due to the pandemic. Now that Connor is 'unlocked' he is really enjoying it and Ian is so pleased he stayed and he is keeping in touch. Ian is sure he will have a fabulous time and we look forward to more updates from Connor.
3. Chris and Ray reported on the 2020 District Assembly that was held via ZOOM on Sunday 14th June. Chris thought that it was a very effective way to run the Assembly with over 100 people online. He attended the secretary and treasurer sessions that were very well run and were completed in about 15 minutes.
4. Rotarians across Australia are invited to join virtual fellowship on the 10th July to witness the launch the 'Centenary of Rotary in Australia Baton Launch'.
5. Next RYPEN camp will held from 11th to 13th September and applications close on 1st September. The next RYLA camp date has been set for the 16th to 23rd January 2021 and applications will be open soon.
6. Ray Philp advised he had taken up the suggestion from our previous week's speaker on Interplast and made a donation of the cost of one breakfast he had saved since meeting online.
7. The 2020 Rotary Virtual Convention is being held from the 20-26 June 2020 and E-Club Rotarian Kero O'Shea is speaking at the first break-out session on Monday, June 22nd at 9pm Perth time.
8. Members were reminded that the Toastmaster online courses are available on the My Rotary RI website.
9. Kenn reported he had a phone call from Foodbank thanking our club for the recent donations from our club.
10. Incoming Membership Director Peter McEwen reported that with Kenn and Chris they hosted three potential new members with positive signs of some of them joining in the near future. The new membership committee will be meeting on Tuesday 23rd June and Peter will provide an update following this meeting.

- Peter McEwen deposited $8 in the kitty to celebrate Brendan making Masterchef's TOP 8. Keep going Brendan as our remote collection box is looking really healthy through Peter celebrating your success.
- President Barry contributed $5 to celebrate that he is getting a new bed delivered today. to replace their 20 year old one.
- Kenn contributed for having to return under tow from his recent fishing trip. He was out fishing with a friend in his boat called Elvis. Elvis decided not to go when they wanted to return for home resulting in being stuck outside north mole for a couple of hours until they were towed in by Sea Rescue. "ELVIS WILL RETURN ONE DAY SOON" Gordon Dunbar suggested he put a mast on it and a sail!
- Ian advised Helen has settled into the Alice Ross-King Care Centre at RAAFA in Bull Creek and visitors are welcome (all you need is evidence that you have had the flu vaccination). Ian is having a final assessment for surgery on Friday (19 June).
- John Henderson reported prior to the meeting starting that he would be an apology as he was going to pick up Helen to bring her home from hospital.
- As part of Applecross Primary School year 3 students history topic studying 'community builders' they chose Applecross Rotary to do some research on. Their teacher Vanessa Mann will share the results of the project with us and also would like a member of our club to address her class when they are allowed to have visitors to the school.
- Clive Pearson commented that most members who follow the local AFL teams would be very sad following the results from the weekend and should contribute to the virtual collection box.
