Thanks to Perth Rotarian and chair of the Rotary-Greenbatch Foundation Alliance David Wee, we have been able to recover our 240L bin assets purchased through a government grant for our schools recycling education program. David successfully made an offer to the liquidators for items that included our claim. David's intention is to recover the bin assets for Rotary clubs who have contributed to the Foundation to use to provide their own income stream. The challenge now is to move the bins etc to factory space that David owns in Kewdale and is providing for no charge. As we remove everything from the Mt Claremont site the plan, so we do not leave UWA in the lurch, is to cleanup the site that they have provided to the Foundation for a number of years. Our club is at the forefront of this activity through the super generous support from Mal Taylor and AKA Events Hire to provide a truck for the Wednesday and Friday move. There have also been a number of our members who have offered to assist and we are hoping for a good response from some of the other Perth clubs. Ronald Bower has offered his trailer with caged sides and we will also be using the club trailer. The following is the schedule of activities so if you can assist please let me know by email or at tomorrow's meeting. Wednesday 9a-2p | Thursday 11.30am onwards | Friday 9am onwards | Volunteers to load truck. | Volunteers cleanup site | Volunteers to clean-up site | Items for resale moved to Merino Entrance, Cockburn Central.
