Well, here we are back home and back into regular sleep and Applecross Rotary action.
A truly wonderful 3 weeks on and round the Med, with Madrid and Malta being real highlites. Certainly put Malta high on your list for that future o/s journey!
Can I say…
What an absolutely amazing job that Chris W has done in progressing all of the hack and IT actions for JF22.
Certainly setting up the work flow processes on our JF program should make the job easier for the future, but it has been an enormous task for this year and Chris has put 100’s of hours into managing this so well.
Not only that, but the relationship work for our major stakeholders, so important for a truly professional event, has also been under Chris’s guidance.
Chris, in advance, a fantastic job well done and Applecross Rotary does need to give you a real break from this workload for future events.
Who will, and must, step up to take on this role for future JacFests? No ifs or buts, it is a major consideration for post the current JF.
Booragoon Lift the Lid Walk for Mental Health.
How disappointing to be the only AxR member who went along to support Booragoon with one of their major Club activities on Sunday.
A gentle stroll along the Canning River from Dome Deep Water to Canning Bridge and return shouldn’t have been beyond any one of us, but it just must have been!
AxR asks other Rotary Clubs to help with our project work, but when it comes to reciprocation, we seem to go missing in action! We all agree about working together to make work easier, or at least that’s what we say!
Unfortunately Booragoon RC, who put a lot into this well promoted mental health initiative, would be disappointed with the limited turnout. Melville RC had a number of members who supported.
